The wedding date for Surya-Jyotika had been fixed as Sept 12 with the reception to be held on 11th evening at Mayor Ramanathan Hall in Adyar and the muhurtham to be held on 12th morning. Having already given the invitation to VIPs like Karunanidhi and Jayalalitha, he informed them that the date and venue had been changed for the safety of some prominent people in the public eye.
Both wedding and reception are to be held on 11th itself and the program for 12th has been cancelled. The wedding takes place from 6.30 to 7.30am at Park Sheraton and the reception from 8.30 to 12.
Guests have been requested not to bring any gifts or bouquets. The press has been strictly forbidden to enter. On 12th, the married couple will speak to the press at Fourframes theatre preview theatre in Nungambakkam.
