Anbumani writes to Ajith

‘Asal’, the film starring actor Ajith, Bhavna and Sameera Reddy is produced by Sivaji Productions and directed by Charan. The date of release of the film is already announced. In the meantime pointing out that the posters are showing Ajith smoking a cigar, Anbumani the former Union Minister of Health conducted a protest march under the banner of Pasumai Thayagam demanding to remove that scene from the film. Several P.M.K. followers participated in the protest.
Now Anbumani has written a letter to Prabhu the producer of the film, director Charan and actor Ajith. In that letter he has stated:
Cigarette producers are trying hard to make youngsters slave for smoking. Many sources claim that they plan to introduce smoking scenes in the films. In the interest of the future of Tamil youth it is requested to remove the smoking scenes if they are a small number and such scenes are not important to the story of the film.
As the film is slated to be released the day after tomorrow (5th) Anbumani starting a protest and writing a letter has irked Ajith’s fans. At the same time is it possible to remove the smoking scenes in such a short time?
