Sridevi is the youngest child for the Vijay Kumar-Manjula couple. Her elder sisters Vanitha and Pritha are already married. Vanitha is married to TV actor Akash and Pritha is married to director Hari. Arun Vijay got married last year, so only Sridevi was left single and eligible.
Sridevi's parents started hunting for a groom for her and fixed an alliance for her with Hyderabad based Rahul, owner of a software company. Sridevi has done child roles in films like 'Rikshaw Maamaa' and 'Amma Vandhachu.' She became a heroine through 'Kaadhal Virus' directed by Kadir. This was followed by films like 'Thithikkudhe,' 'Devadhayai Kandein,' and 'Priyamaana Thozhi.' Sridevi also acted in Telugu and Kannada films.
On coming 17th, the betrothal of Sridevi and Rahul will take place at Vijay Kumar's residence at Alapakkam. The wedding is to be on June 18. Sridevi has not decided whether she should continue acting or not after marriage.
