Actress Revathi received the cassette and here's what she said. "We talk, write and think a lot about children. But people don't think of making children's films. This film has been done with lots of courage.
Nowadays we put children under so much pressure. We have forgotten to treat them as children. I visit orphaned children frequently. They are subject to such tremendous restrictions. They are given no freedom. When I visit them at their institutions, they are made to stand like pillars. They are instructed on how and what to speak. Let children be like children at least till they are 12 or 13 years of age. We should not turn them into grown-ups too early."
"Such cinema efforts are rare. In this commercial field, I bow down to the courage of Azhagappan C in making this children's film. For those who consider cinema as a business, they have no appreciation of art. If you want Tamil cinema to rise to a higher level, for god's sake, do away with these duet songs. Make the films realistic," said director Mahendran with regret and hope in his voice.
Others who participated in the function are directors Balu Mahendra, Ameer, producer Kalaipuli Thanu, actors Bala Singh, Siddarth, actress Madhavi Sharma, child star Srilakshmi, lyricist Pazhani Barathi, Nakeeran Gopal,, Lena Thamizhvanan and others.
Revathi gave prizes to the child stars of the film, to child writers and poets and those running institutions for children.
The gathering was welcomed by music composer Rehan. The director / producer Azhagappan C concluded the function with their vote of thanks.
