‘Sattam oru iruttarai’’ released in 1982 was a much talked about film.  It was a turning point to actor Vijayakanth, the hero of the film and S.A.Chandrasekaran, the director of the film. 

Besides Tamil, the film was a great success in Telugu, Kannada and Hindi.  S.A.Chandrasekaran was the director of the film in all languages.  He is once again producing it in Tamil.

Talking about it S.A.Chandrasekaran said “many people came forward to do the lead role of the film.  I intend to reorient the story to suit the present day and the technologies available today.
