'Vennila kabadi kuzhu' is produced by Anand Chakravarthy on behalf of Imagine Creations. Vishnu is introduced as hero in the film directed by Susindran. Vishnu is the son of Gudawala, I.G. of police. The film that includes many others has music composed by Selva Ganesh the son of Vikku Vinayakam, the percussion maestro.
The song release function of the film was held yesterday in Chennai that was presided over by Rama Narayanan. The first song was released by A.R.Rahman that was received by Vikku Vinayakam. Those who attended the function included actor Vikram, directors Gautam Menon, Ezhil and producer S.Thanu.
Speaking at the function A.R.Rahman said that Vikku Vinayakam's family is a creative family. Being part of the creative family, he said there is no doubt that Selva Ganesh's composition would be a great success.
Gautam Menon elaborated while speaking, 'some talent and good looks may make one an actor. Some script knowledge may make one a director. But it is very difficult to become a producer. He has to trust others and invest his money. And that demands a good heart. I congratulate Anand Chakravarthy who has trusted all new faces in the film. Like 'Subrmaniapuram' I look forward to the success of this film'.
Director Susindran said 'this is the true story of Vennila kabadi kuzhu that is happening right now in Ottan Chathiram. The central theme of the film is sports. But it won't be like 'Lagaan' and 'Chennai – 28' that also had sports as the theme.
