No politics for me – Ajith
- 05.02.2010
Ajith

Among stars Ajith stands apart.  It is his principle to meet the press before release of every film and talk to them about it.  Before the release of his film ‘Asal’ Ajith met the press persons in a star hotel in Adayar, Chennai.  He was very relaxed talking about ‘Asal’.

Though there was no question answer session, press persons kept on asking him questions and he answered every question smilingly.  Answering a question about politics he said “I want politicians to watch my films.  That is why I don’t want any politics.  People who succeed should watch my films for celebration and those who don’t, for consolation”.

Asked about his role as a joint director in the film ‘Asal’ he said “I have a passion to direct films in the future.  But I won’t start immediately.  Patiently after collecting a lot more experience I will start directing films”

Answering a question about the title ‘Ultimate star’, he said “changes happen in everyone’s life.  Today’s cinema audience has changed considerably.  In that context only I asked myself if I should continue to have the title ‘ultimate star ‘.  I decided not to have it.”
