S Saravanan is directing 'Silambattam' featuring Simbu, Sneha and Sana Khan. It is in the final schedule. Simbu plays a young Brahmin boy and in the flashback, a totally different character. Music is by Yuvan and the film is due for a Deepavali release.

After completing 'Silambattam,' Lakshmi Movie Makers will produce a film starring Shakti, the son of P Vasu and hero of 'Thottal Poo Malarum.'

Shakti will be paired with Ramya Nambisan. The film has been titled 'Aatta Nayakan' but there's news that someone else has registered this same title, at the chamber so the title could be changed. This information has been refuted by the 'Aatta Nayakan' unit.

From playing the romantic hero, Shakti will become an action hero in this film. Krishna Ram, who used to be assistant to director Vikraman, will direct the film. Others in the cast include Nasser, Santhanam, Jeeva, R Sundarrajan and Sachu.

Music is by Srikant Deva. Cinematography is by Vijay Milton. All songs are by Vali. The shooting started today with the traditional pooja.
