Samy slapped Padmapriya during the shooting of 'Mirugam' and had to apologise to her for that. For his action, he was also banned from directing films for a year.
Samy was busy with script and story of his new film and requested for a revoke on his ban to the concerned executives through formal letter. He mentioned that he was ready to make a film featuring Rajkiran and Aadhi and that the producers were keen on starting the film.
On discussing the issue, the film committee has removed the ban in just 6 months. Their reason for cutting short the penalty is, starting a new film means more employment opportunity to film field.
