The first schedule shooting is taking place in a dense forest near Chalakudi. Directors these days choose only forest areas for shooting purposes.
Director Jagannathan is shooting his film 'Peranmai' in a forest area. Selvaraghavan's film 'Ayirathil oruvan' too is being filmed in a forest area. Now Mani Ratnam has joined them. The first schedule of Selvaraghavan's film was shot in the same forest area near Chalakudi.
Mani Ratnam has retained the services of private security unit to prevent any one entering the shooting area. Soon Aishwarya Rai will arrive here to take part in the shooting.
It is understood that though the title of the film is 'claimed to be Asokavanam', it is yet to be finalized. What is written in the clapboard is production No.11.
Abhishek Bachchan will also be taking part in the shooting in a few days time.
