There is a danger that they may incur heavy loss. There are several hurdles for small budget films. Availability of theatre is the most vital. Theatres are now empty as big budget films are waiting for Deepavali. Some small budget film producers want to use this opportunity. But many feel that there is a danger in it.
Expressing his opinion, Kalaipuli G.Sekaran, the president of distributors' association said that people wouldbe interested in doing
Deepavali shopping and they may not come to watch films. Thus releasing films now would end up in loss. Even if they are good, small budget films will be removed to make room for Deepavali release of big budget films.
Small budget film producers are really worried as big budget films like 'Vaaranam ayiram', Seval' and 'Guru en alu' are being released for Deepavali.
