Telugu actor Chakravarthi is chosen as villain for this big budget film. He has done roles in Ram Gopal Varma's 'Udayam' and 'Sathya' in Hindi and some Tamil films too.
Having been assistant director to Verma, Chakravarthi has also directed a film.
Selection of villain was a problem for Rajini's 'Sivaji'. But there is no such problem for 'Robot'.
