After feeding music lovers with the tasty bites of symphony, Thiruvasagam and a tune with just three notes, Illayaraja's latest offering is a musical feast.
He has flown in musicians from Hungary and produced the background score very differently for the four-language film 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star'. It took place at the recording theatre in the Prasad Studios in Chennai. Entering through the double doors, we found Illayaraja dressed in white dhoti and kurta concentrating on a note pad. In front of him were the musicians from Hungary
As he called 'OK, take', spreading his fingers, the musicians started playing according to the movement of his fingers Completing the composition, Illayaraja met the media and spoke about the film.
'The story is that of the rescue of a boy who has turned into a eunuch. Produced in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi, this film demanded a different kind of background music. I had planned to score music with symphony orchestra. Since, the time is short, I have now composed it using musicians from Hungary.
Five days were allocated for scoring the two-hour music. But with the expert understanding of the Hungary musicians the recording is completed in just two days'.
When he said that five musicians have played flute, clarinet and base clarinet, you can see the utter satisfaction in his face.
The film that can be enjoyed even by children is slated for all India release on December 2, said Bargis, the producer.
