The Gates Foundation is making 4 short films to create Aids awareness. These are directed by Vishal Bharadwaj, Farhan Akhtar, Mira Nir and Santosh Sivan. Prabhu Dev acted as a truck driver in Santosh Sivan's 'Prarambha.' Ramya Krishnan plays a call girl.
"I first hesitated because the role was of a call girl. But when Santosh Sivan said it was to create awareness of Aids, I knew it is a responsibility to society and accepted it," says Ramya. Her co-stars include Anu Prabakar, Jayanthi, Prema and Sadhu Kokila.
