To jaded eyes that are tired from watching kuthu songs and violence on screen, the children friendly 'Vannathupoochi' comes as a pleasant welcome.

Azhagappan C has created this story as a novel attempt in Tamil as something needed in this time. He will direct the film too. He has worked as assistant to Kamal in many films. He also has a leaning towards literature.

"In this mechanical age, the children suffer with a burden of books, and under the stern eyes of unrelenting parents. There is so much hidden sadness in them. My effort is to raise awareness to their plight.

The role of being a parent is the sweetest of experiences. But that does not seem to be happening much these days. For a long time, I have been thinking about this and it has taken the shape of 'Vannathupoochi.'

A little girl leaves behind her mechanical city life and goes to the village to stay with her grandpa. Living in an atmosphere of affection and tasting the freedom and joy in life, she refuses to return to the city. So her parents are forced to go to court. The film climax will tell the girl's decision and the court's decision," explains Azhagappan beautifully.

Balasign, Shri lakshmi

Srilakshmi from Tiruppur, who does the little girl role, is said to have done a great job. Balasingh as the grandfather is moving. Revathi in the judge role was so impressed with the story, she did not even want a fee for her role.

It's a children's film but not restricted to children alone, nor does it stand to sermonize. The director is sure the film would create a flutter in the hearts of parents. He says that would be the film's success.

We are also eagerly awaiting the film!
