‘Aravadhu vanam’ - People vacated the village for the film
- 12.03.2010
A village has been vacated for shooting the film ‘Aravadhu vanam’. This wonder happened in a village called ‘Singaram palayam’ where the people vacated the village for shooting the film ‘Aravadhu vanam’. The village is located 20 KM from Pollachi.
Talking about it the director Bhuvanesh said: “Pandavas went through a miserable time when they were roaming as nomads in the jungle called Aravadhu Vanam. A people of a village go through similar suffering. For the sake of two young lovers the village vacates the place thus reducing the population of the place to just 2. The village remains the same even today where only two people are living there.
This true story is the story of the film ‘Aravadhu vanam’. We wanted to shoot the film in the same village. But the two who are living there did not give permission. As an alternative we identified the village Singaram palayam which also suited the story.
The village people got angry when we asked them to vacate the village for 5 days for shooting. But finally they agreed.”
