‘Endiran’ is the film which has been made with the highest budget ever in Tamil cinema.  The filming of the movie was started in 2008.  Owing to many reasons it has got delayed.  Announced in 2007, the shooting of the film was started only 2009.

The film is almost complete but for one song and some scenes involving Ashwarya Rai.  As she is busy in Mani Rathnam’s ‘Ravanan’, she is delaying the film.  The reason for this is Ashwarya Rai’s call sheet.

Ashwarya Rai is reported to be getting Rs.6 crores for the film, a salary never drawn by any other actress in India.  She has informed that she would soon come to act in ‘Endiran’.  Shankar had planned to produce this film in 3D.  But with this delay would it be possible to do it?

It is not known when this film will be released.
