The days when producers flocked to Dhanush's house with crores in their hands, is now like a dream of the distant past. Even by mistake, no producer even enters the street where he lives.

Apart from his film 'Pudupettai' directed by his brother, Dhanush has no other film on hand. It will take a few more months for the film directed by Karu Palaniappan to take off, so Dhanush has decided to produce his own film.

The Binny Mills in Chennai which has been closed for a long time, is being readied for this. The scene where Dhanush is being interrogated by the police, has been filmed here by director Boopathy Pandian. This is a return favor for the moderately successful 'Devathayai Kandein.'

It is said that the film 'Thiruvilayadal' is not being produced by Dhanush, but by his sister-in-law Soundarya. She has an interest in films. After all, the title graphics in 'Chandramukhi' and graphics in 'Ah…Aah' have been her creations.

When rumours were running rife that she was producing Rajini's next film, 'Thiruvilayadal' arrived on the scene.

The question of whether Soundarya or Dhanush is the producer of 'Thiruvilayadal' is as interesting as the original film itself!
