P Vasu bought the Kannada rights of the Malayalam 'Manichitrathazh' and Re-made 'Aptamitra' in Kannada. Later that became the Rajini starrer'Chandramuki'.
Priyadarshan bought the Hindi rights of 'Manichitrathazh' and produced 'Bhool Bulaiya' in Hindi. P Vasu did not like it. He accused that Priyadarshan had copied 'Chandramuki' and the matter went up to the court.
Now P Vasu is re-making ‘Kathaparayumpol' as 'Kuchelan' in Tamil and 'Kucheludu' in Telugu. He also has plans to dub it in Hindi and release it.
To sabotage that, Priyadarshan is re-making 'Kathaparayumpol' in Hindi as 'Billu Barber'. In that event, the Hindi dubbed version will not have good prospects. As the war between Rajini and Shah Rukh is already happening, Priyadarshan now plans to do the filming at the same spot in Pollachi where 'Kuchelan' is to be shot.
This cold war has all the making of a real war.
