Bala's 'Pithamagan' made even the cinema fraternity stand up and take notice. With hardly any dialogues, Vikram with his animal like portrayal stunned people with his performance. A little bit of drawback would have made the character a write-off.

For the first time, there is some effort to re-make 'Pithamagan' in Hindi. This is not the first time a Bala film is being remade in Hindi. 'Tere Naam' was the title of the Hindi version of 'Sethu' and proved to be a success for Salman Khan who did the role of Vikram.

Dialogues are happening about the 'Pithamagan' Hindi remake and it is said Bala could co-produce with Bollywood producers. Ajay Devagn has been chosen to do Vikram's role and Abhishek Bachchan in Surya's role. If he turns down the offer, then they will look for someone else.

It is learnt that cinematographer Thiru will direct the Hindi version. This will be his debut as director. We wish him all success!
