Director K S Ravi Kumar said in an interview that the historical background to the Rangarajan Nambi role of Kamal in 'Dasavataram' is an intro to 'Marmayogi.' This is but a small example for the reason behind the grandeur of 'Marmayogi.'
'Marmayogi' has a historical background and features Hema Malini, Trisha, Shriya and Vaiyapuri. Others in the cast are being chosen. Music is by AR Rehman. Kamal has already briefed Rehman about the songs.
'Marmayogi' is jointly co-produced by Pyramid Saimira and Rajkamal Films. Photo session with Kamal, Trisha and Shriya has just been completed. The 3 of them are in period costumes and make-up. This photo session took place in secret at a studio in Nungambakkam.
