Once a powerful producer spending lavishly, after several losses AM Rathnam has now been reduced to borrowing finances from several people. At present he's producing Vikram's 'Bhima' and he was to then produce 'Nandalala' starring his son Ravikrishna.

Like a case of pouring rain when one is going out to sell salt, A M Rathnam seems to be still slipping. There seems to be some problems to his producing 'Nandalala.' So, he has decided to hand over the film to another company. Saran has now requested Mysskin to direct 'Nandalala.'

In case Mysskin accepts the offer, it could well be that Saran's production unit could ask for a change of hero.
