At a press meet yesterday, Pyramid Saimira chief Swaminathan said, "As far as 'Kuselan' is concerned, not only people in Tamilnadu but whole of India know how much Pyramid Saimira has lost. In film business, we well know that one has to reckon with profit as well as loss, so we do not want to point fingers at anyone for the loss.
When those bought the film and distributors complained about the loss, a humanitarian gesture of 5 crores was given by the producer to which Pyramid Saimira agreed to add 1.5 crores.
Accordingly, Pyramid Saimira has distributed the financial compensation. That is the end of the 'Kuselan' issue. When that's the case, some rumours are being spread intentionally about our company. These lies are the work of those who cannot bear to see a Tamil rise to the top in the entertainment industry."
