Produced by AM Rathnam, it was reported that the film stars his son Ravikrishna. A photo session was even completed with Ravikrishna. Suddenly, a shock news erupted. AM Rathnam is not producing the film and Ravikrishna has opted out too. What happened?

AM Rathnam is in serious financial trouble because 'Dharmapuri' starring Vijayakanth was a super flop. In fact, 'Bhima' which is under production is itself facing hassles and is struggling for completion. Hence, it is reported that 'Nandalala' has been dropped.

We asked Mishkin for the actual truth. "After 'Chithiram Pesudhadi,' I got the 'Nandalala' script ready. This took 8 months. Some of the things in the script were not agreeable to others. So the project got postponed. What could I do? I could get another story ready. That's exactly what I am doing now!"

So, once the correct producer is found, 'Nandalala' will be revived!
