V Sekar and Parthiban produce the film on behalf of Thiruvalluvar Kalaikoodam.
V Sekhar saw success as long as he produced family dramas, but he burnt his fingers when he made 'Aei' with Sarath Kumar. He kept low after that and returns now to produce 'Pattasu.'
The inaugural pooja for the film took place this morning at the Pillayar temple in AVM Studios. Prominent film personalities like Sathyaraj, Sarath Kumar, S A Chandrasekar and others participated in wishing success for the film.
Sibi being his son, Sathyaraj was accompanied by his wife for the function. He put his arms around the shoulders of both the boys Sibi and Vikranth and posed, and one could see the joy on their faces!
There were massive cut-outs of the heroes near the studio entrance. The most attractive cut-out was of neither the heroes nor heroine, but of comedian Vivek. The reason? All that he has covered his naked body with, is a palm frond!
In keeping with the title of the film, firecrackers were burst before the start of the pooja.
