Asin is to return to Tamil films.

Asin's first Tamil film was 'M Kumaran, son of Mahalakshmi'. She then acted in various Tamil films including ‘Varalaru,’ 'Ghajini', 'Pokkiri' and 'Azhwar'. Her last Tamil film was in 'Dasavataram' with Kamal Hassan.
 
When Asin did the Hindi version of 'Ghajini', the film was a super hit and Asin's talent received good recognition. She did another Hindi film 'Bombay Dreams' that did not do well and resulted in a slide in her Hindi film career. More Hindi film offers did not follow.
 
So she is now back to Tamil films but does not seem to have reduced her fee in any way. In fact, it’s said to have increased! The Malayalam hit ‘Bodyguard’ is to be remade in Tamil. The hero is Vijay. When Asin was approached to do the heroine role, she is said to have quoted a 2 crore fee.
 
This would make her the highest paid Tamil film heroine!
