Cheran, who has produced and directed the film, had his share of problems during making of the film. The first was use of digital shooting. After seeing the shortcomings of digital shooting in 'Mumbai Xpress,' Cheran re-shot whatever he had done earlier on digital.
Next was the length of the film. Since the importance of parents from the age of 4 is elaborated, the film ran to 4 hours. Now, Cheran has set that also right.
After all this was done, Cheran invited Bala for a special screening. Bala was elated. "Can someone show the affection between parents and children in such a touching manner?" he remarked in wonder and immediately invited Cheran to be the director of the film he plans to produce. Of course, Cheran accepted.
While 'Majaa' and 'Sivakasi' are films with mass appeal to be released for Diwali, Cheran's 'Thavamaai Thavamirundhu' that will also be released for Diwali, is the film with class.
