Slated to be held during the last month itself, the song release function was postponed due to many reasons. Oscar Ravichandran has invited Jackie Chan to release the songs. Now it is firmed up that the function will be held on 25th of this month. Elaborately created invitations are being distributed.
A most attractive set is being erected at the Nehru Indoor stadium near Chennai. Many celebrities including Tamilnadu Chief Minister Karunanidhi, film personalities like Amitabh Bachchan, Rajini and Chiranjeevi are expected to attend the function.
Chennai Police has expedited the security preparations for this. As traffic may be disrupted in a big way, the police is also preparing to make it smooth.
Jackie Chan and his team will be arriving in Chennai in private plane to attend the function.
A Mumbai based private security company has been retained to look after the security detail for Jackie Chan. Only film personalities and their families will be admitted into the auditorium. Even V.I.Ps without invitation will not be permitted.
It is learnt that Kalaignar TV has bought the rights of 'Dasavataram' by paying Rs.1001 more than 'Sivaji.' Thus Kalaignar TV will have a live telecast of the song release function. So, only selected media and TV channels are invited.
It is reported that with the amount paid to Jackie Chan, a full length feature film could be produced. The amount is indicated as Rs.6 crore. That is apart from the expenses for the travel and stay for him and his team.
