Khushboo filed a compensation claim for Rs.3 crore on the charge of morphing her face to some one else’s body. The producers resolved to send a lawyer notice to Sun TV claiming compensation of Rs. 2000 crore charging that Sun TV has looted more than Rs.1000 crore. They just made an announcement. But Sun TV has now sent a lawyer notice to them.
The producers’ primary charge was that just by obtaining the rights to transmit songs and clippings of movies Sun TV has been telecasting them the world over. Another charge was by taking rights for Sun TV only, it is telecasting films and songs in its group channels like KTV, Sun News and Sun Music.
Sun TV has vehemently denied both the charges. We have not violated any agreement. On the other hand, the producers themselves come to advertise their films in Sun TV.
This charge is motivated, as they have been silent for 14 years. So, Sun TV is intending to file a defamation case against the producers and sent a lawyer notice to that effect.
The twist is that Sun TV even intends to file a case against the newspapers that published the news. It is because they published the news without validating the truth.
It is an irony that the people who publish news just for popular appeal and gossips, are resorting to go to the court for not verifying the notification!
