A curse from unknown quarters has recently claimed the lives of many in Tamil cinema. Following actor Pandiyan, writers Sujatha, Stella Bruce, actors Raghuvaran, Shoban Babu, now Prasanna Kumar too passes away.
He was introduced to Tamil cinema through the film 'Palaivanacholai'. Having written dialogues for more than 70 films, Prasanna Kumar has been writing comedy track for Vivek for a long time. The comedy track for the recent releases like 'Sanda and 'Singakutti' too were also written by him.
He has been suffering from diabetes and blood pressure. Suddenly he took ill and was admitted to the hospital where he died at 10.30 last night.
49 years old Prasanna is survived by his wife Bhanumathi and a son. He has a house in the Theradi Theru on Kutchery Road, Mylapore. On learning the news of Prasanna's death, Vivek rushed to pay his last respects.
Having written dialogues for 'Run', 'Thai porandachu'. 'Manadhai thirudivittai and many more, Prasanna was a recipient of Tamilnadu State award.
