Rajini makes a guest appearance in this film that has been bought by Pyramid Saimira for a whopping 60 crores. They plan to make 1200 prints for release all over the world.
Since releasing the film in too many theatres would result in decreasing crowds over the weeks, it's learnt that Rajini has requested that 'Kuselan' be released in limited number of theatres. He naturally wants the film to run for a 100 days in all the theatres where the film is released.
So, it's been decided to reduce the number of prints to 500.
'Kuselan' will be released the same day in America as here. Distribution rights for America have been bought by Jayavel Murugan. 25 feet high cutouts are kept outside theatres that screen 'Kuselan.'
According to Jayavel Murugan, this is the first time a cutout is being used for an Indian actor in the US. He said not only Indians, but Americans were also eager to see Rajini's style and were asking him about the film release with interest.
