Vadivelu resides in Logiah Colony in Saligramam, Chennai. Yesterday morning at 10.30am , a group arrived in motorbikes, and hurled stones at Vadivelu's house. They also damaged his office and car. Vadivelu filed a complaint at the police station and said because of earlier enmity between him and Vijayakanth, the latter's supporters were attacking his premises and attempting to kill him.
Speaking to the press, Vadivelu said, "A few months back Vijayakanth's supporters damaged my office in Saligramam. There's a court case pending in Saidapet court still about that and the hearing comes up tomorrow (Sept 22). I am going to the court to identify the miscreants who hurled the stones.
I'm sure that to threaten me, they are attacking my house and office premises for the second time. When throwing stones at my house, the group shouted that if I thought I could live by antagonizing their leader Vijayakanth, they would throw a bomb and finish me off. I have no enemies in this world except one person.
To turn attention away, the motorbike miscreants had Ajith's photo. I'm not a rowdy, I'm a comedian. My work is to make people laugh. The people are my god and they will teach the stone throwers a lesson. By fighting with me, I don't know what govt power they are going to grasp. I have not even started a competitive political party, so I fail to understand why I'm being attacked."
Following the complaint by Vadivelu, cases have been filed against Vijayakanth and his henchmen under 7 categories for attempted murder, group attack etc.
