He has already won the Filmfare Award for 'Paruthiveeran.' What next? Karthi responded with downcast eyes, "I'm happy to have won the Filmfare Award for 'Paruthiveeran.' I'm told I looked fat in the film, but I actually had to exercise 6 hours a day and lost 10 kgs. I had to look a bit massive in keeping with the character.

I look the same in Selvaraghavan's 'Aayirathil Oruvan.' This is an action film. After that, I will be acting with Nayantara under Lingusamy's direction. I have to lose weight for that.

When I was in the US, I used to eat a lot of burgers and pizzas. So I naturally piled on some pounds. I am not for developing 6 pack abs like my brother Surya. Even though 'Paruthiveeran' was a success, I don't intend to continue doing serious roles. I would like to do varied characters.

I like to sing duets with heroines and to act in action films. In this genre, I will try to choose some varied type of stories."
