As planned, the shooting of Kamal Hassan's 'Marmayogi' starts in Mumbai. It's a co-production of Rajkamal Films and Pyramid Saimira. Ever since Kamal spoke about 'Marmayogi,' real as well as imagined pieces of information have been doing the rounds and this continues despite Kamal having issued statements in frustration.

It was said that 'Marmayogi' would be shot in Chennai but that is not so. The film is to be shot on grand sets in Mumbai.

Hema Malini, Trisha, Shriya and Vaiyapuri are to act in the film as also Venkatesh. 'Marmayogi' is to be made in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. Venkatesh's presence is supposedly to attract the Andhra public. Venkatesh had turned down the offer initially but after the importance of his role was explained to him, he accepted.

Formal announcements will be made with the start of shooting.
