Debut making director Vijay Anand has taken inspiration from the Malayalam 'Kireetam'and made the Tamil version. Rajkiran plays Ajith’s father. Heroine Trisha plays a college girl. Vivek runs riot in comedy.
The first schedule of shooting has been done in Rajamundry and Vishakapatnam in Andhra. A song was shot in Kerala’s Vandiperiyar and Alleppey.
Thiru is cameraman and GV Prakash is music composer. Lyricist Na Muthukumar has written the dialogues for the first time for 'Kireetam.'
The shooting is complete and the post production work is also almost complete. So, 'Kireetam'is expected to be released in June end.
