The biography of the former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi is being produced as a film.  It is produced by the NRI Krishna Shah.  Priyanka Chopra is slated to do the role of Indira Gandhi in the film.  Selection is taking place for other actors and technicians.

The film will feature the political life of Indira Gandhi, her election as the Prime Minister, her meetings with various world leaders and the plans and schemes she formulated for the country.  It also includes her assassination by her security people.  Krishna Shah claims that he has obtained the permission from Indira’s family.

The film is produced with a large budget and Krishna Shah mentioned that shooting will be starting soon.
