Last week it was lagging behind 'Dhaam Dhoom' in Chennai but this week has moved to the first spot. But the collection not exceeding 1.5 crores is a bit of dampener. But the situation could get better in coming days.
'Dhaam Dhoom' has collected 1 crore in Chennai alone and is presently in second place. In third place is Cheran's 'Raman Thediya Seethai' that is doing very well. Mostly women are flocking to the theaters and the film could well forge ahead in the coming weeks.
Director Vijay's 'Poi Solla Porom' is currently in 4th spot. It is one of the films that's popular with the college crowd. Vinay's 'Jayam Kondaan' is in fifth place. Because of release of new films, the box office collection of this film has been affected.
Despite running for 100 days, Kamal's 'Dasavataram' is still in the top 10. 'Sakkarakatti' is being released tomorrow, so we can expect some changes in the box office scene.
