'Kandasamy' songs are being shot at a brisk pace. A song has already been shot in Mexico , in which Vikram is dressed as a matador. Shriya is the glamour gal in this. Another song with Vikram and Mumaid Khan has been shot to the re-mixed tune of a Chandrababu number.

Because it was running at a loss, Gaiety theatre in Chennai has been converted into a studio. It is here that director Susi Ganesan shot a Shriya and Vikram duet. 

Many theatres closing down because of losses is a worrying trend. Theatre owners feel that's because of the growing number of multiplexes. The film industry must tackle this issue
