Chennai Superkings made this announcement. "Nayantara has not shown her initial enthusiasm for this post and has not cooperated with us. She missed the press meet. Instead of giving encouragement to the team, she herself shows a lack of enthusiasm. Nayantara is reported to have fainted in Hyderabad during the shooting of 'Kuchelan' and got hospitalised, and so could not attend the first match here. This is not believable. A couple of hours later, she was back at shooting. How's that possible?
Vijay announced that at every match Nayantara would be there to boost the morale of the players. She did not take up her responsibilities even after that. So we have no option but to remove her from this post and she has lost the opportunity to be in the public eye on a national level to the millions of cricket fans."
Trisha taking Nayantara's place has caused a flutter among Vijay fans. "Superkings will be gilli from now on," said one rasigar manram executive. Trisha fans are expected to flood cricket stadiums too.
