Excerpts from Kalaignar's speech:
"Recently Kamal came to my house and showed some stills from 'Dasavataram'. I was amazed at the 10 different roles and the costumes for them. Two days ago I happened to watch the 20 minute clip of the film and I was pleasantly shocked after that. 'Dasavataram' is an example of what 'gigantic' is.
After watching it even without realising it, I embraced Kamal. Kamal used to be described as Ulaga kalaignani, but now he looks to me as Ulagamaha Kalaignani.
There are lot of things that Kamal and Jackie Chan could be compared with. Jackie Chan's birthday is 07/04/1954 and Kamal's is 07/11/1954. Jackie Chan is older to Kamal only by 7 months. Kamal came to films when he was 6 years old and Jackie Chan came at 8. Jackie Chan has done 100 films whereas Kamal has done 240 films.
I read in a book that Jackie Chan used to tell his fans, ‘Pray before your parents when they are alive. It is better than going to the grave to worship them.'
This function shines as a pearl on the crown of our Kalaignani."
As Jackie Chan was spoken about, K S Ravikumar translated to Jackie Chan.
Earlier, Kalaignar released the audio cassette that was received by Jackie Chan.
