In the 90s, Rajkiran carved his own niche in Tamil cinema. Many films that he directed and acted in did very well and celebrated silver jubilee. In fact, it was he who introduced today's top comedian Vadivelu into films.
When he was at the height of his career, he was beset by troubles and soon disappeared into oblivion. Kodambakkam also forgot about him. Rajkiran made his comeback with Bala's 'Nanda' and his career is back on swing.
The last film that he produced and directed was 'Aranmanai Killi' that was released 14 years ago. Maybe one could consider this a vanavaasam because Rajkiran has decided to finally produce a film titled 'Chintamani' for his company Red Sun Arts.
He will direct the film and also act as its hero. A newcomer will make her debut as his heroine.
Rajkiran has decided to launch the film with great fanfare in January and will leave for outdoor shooting on 22nd.
