The film featuring Senthil in the lead role is directed by Malan and Meena was approached to play the female lead. She turned down the offer. She has acted opposite top heroes like Kamal and Rajini and acting with Senthil would bring down her market, is her reason for refusing the role.
Following this, the producer and director met Meena and narrated the story to her, saying she would pair only with Ramesh Arvind in the film. After this, Meena agreed to her role in 'Adivasiyum Arpudha Pesiyum.'
Meena leaves for Malaysia today for the shooting. She says, "My last film was 'Kannamma.' After that I did not get proper roles, so did not accept any film offer. I concentrated only in TV serials. I also did heroine roles in some Telugu and Malayalam films.
I have an important role in 'Adivasiyum Arpudha Pesiyum.' That's why I accepted the offer. I am paired with Ramesh Arvind in the film."
