Samudrakani acted as the villain in 'Subramaniapuram' but he has now set acting aside. He is concentrating on directing 'Nadodigal.' For long, he was scouting for newcomers for his film. Not finding anyone in Tamilnadu, he went to Kerala and found the person he was looking for.
Ayilya, who acted in Malayalam film 'Positive' seemed to fit what Samudrakani was looking for, so he has signed her on for 'Nadodigal.'
Since the name Ayilya sounds too Malayali, there may soon be a name change.
