Bharath collaborates for the second time with director Thirumurugan in 'Muniyandi Vilangiyal Moonraamaandu.' Since the title is so long, only 'Muniyandi' appears in bold letters. Newcomer Thamari makes her debut as Bharath's jodi. Vadivelu appears in an important role.
Co-produced by Lotus Five Star and Thiru Pictures, shooting commenced yesterday at Pollachi. Director Thirumurugan spoke during a break in the shooting.
"The story is about the hurdles a young man from the village faces when he tries to come up in life. We plan to complete shooting in one schedule of 45 days in Pollachi region and 15 days in Karaikudi and Devakottai area.
Muniswaran temple has an important part in the story. We visited many temples but nothing suited us. That's why we decided to build a temple. We have chosen to build it on top of a rock in Vellai Goundanur village. The art director is Boopathy.
We are doing it according to tradition with poojas and requisite rites. A 50 foot high Muniswarar idol as well as an ambulatory wall is being built at a cost of 10 lakhs. 15 days of shooting will be done here. If the villagers so wish, we will leave it behind for their use."
A temple set put up for Jayam Ravi's 'Unakkum Enakkum' has already been given to the villagers for their use. For 'Kandasamy,' a whole village was adopted and tar roads built.
