Chennai is being treated to terrible downpours and the depression in the boy only seems to be getting stronger. Even as people are finding it difficult to step out of their homes, the Bhavana-Jayam Ravi pair went into the sea.

In ‘Deepavali,’ Jayam Ravi acts as a fisherman and Bhavana is the girl he is in love with. Ravi takes Bhavana out to sea for a little bit of romance. To shoot this romantic scene, the ‘Deepavali’ unit, including Jayam Ravi, Bhavana and director Ezhil, set out about 2km into the sea in 4 boats near the Chennai Royapuram coast.

The shooting started in the morning, but by noon, the sky darkened with clouds and amidst thunder and lightning, the rain poured hard. Scared and shivering with cold, the crew stayed put for 4 hours till the downpour weakened to a drizzle. Even the usually chatty Bhavana stayed quiet and miserable. Some of the unit members suffered from nausea.
