A woman asking for strength when she's torn between husband and lover forms the basic story line. Chhaya Singh plays the wife who asks divorce from her husband, who is a good man.
Madhumita had no problem in choosing Parthiban to play the good husband but she had a hard time finding a suitable actor to play the lover. Most young actors refused to do guest appearances, but Srikanth agreed immediately on hearing the story.
It may be a guest appearance, but the screenplay by Madhumita is such that he would appear through out the film.
On being asked about acting under a woman director, Parthiban says, "There are many women who are much smarter than men. Madhumita is one of them."
