The muhurtham will be held between 7.30 to 9am on September 1, 2005 at the Mayor Ramanathan Centre in Santhome. When Prashanth handed out the invitations to members of the press, one could see the bliss on his face at his impending wedding.
Like Kamal in 'Guna,' maybe Prashanth thought about his bride to be and started speaking quite eloquently, when he stopped suddenly in a fit of bashfulness. Understanding his son's predicament, father Thiagarajan took over and explained the details of the function.
"Like the proverb, we are getting the girl and the treasure on September 1. We plan to conduct the wedding in a very grand manner. We have invited all the VIPs. The chief minister Jayalalitha will bless the couple in the evening.
Apart from Kollywood stars, Bollywood personalities will also attend. Amitabh Bachchan and Aiswarya Rai have promised to attend. Music composers Deva, Srikanth Deva and Sabesh-Murali will entertain in the evening."
We asked the animated Thiagarajan what his gift was to the young couple. "They have all my love, what else could be greater," he said laughing, adding that he was gifting them a new house.
Did Prashanth speak to his fiancée? "Yes, I spoke, she spoke and we will go on speaking" answered Prashanth like a Radio jockey and we departed after conveying our best wishes.
