Sun Pictures has initially shown interest in buying full distribution rights for films. It bought the distribution rights for 'Thenavattu,’ 'Thee,’ 'Pookadai Ravi’ and 'Siva Manasula Sakthi.’
Like Sun, Zee TV has bought the distribution rights of 'Naan Kadavul’ for 16 crores. To manage this competition, Raj TV’s first step is to produce 'Kudhirai’ to be directed by Rajasekar, who has worked as assistant to director Ramana.
The film is produced by Kamila, Nasser ’s wife and the finance for this low budget film is by Raj TV. Ramana acts as the hero.
It would hardly be a surprise if Kalaignar TV also gets into film production in the near future!
