Apart from his own very high self-assessment, the university called Balu Mahendra may wish to direct a versatile actor like Kamal.  It is a long time since their combination reigned supreme like in 'Moonram pirai'.  Kamal never forgets to articulate his respect for Balu Mahendra on occasions when they share a platform. Kamal used to say "I crave to work with him."  That opportunity is now at hand. 

It seems Balu has written a story for Kamal and work on its screenplay is happening.  Kamal too has given his agreement to act in the film. The circles close to Kamal say that launch of the film that will bring both of them together will take place soon.
