A music program titled 'Idhayaragam 2008' featuring Malayali musicians and singers will take place on Feb 24 at the Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai. The program will be inaugurated by Ilayaraja. Kamal Hassan will be the sutradar for the show.
A press conference on 'Idhayaragam 2008' was held yesterday at a star hotel in Chennai. Kamal participated and spoke at the function.
"Art transcends barriers. The funds raised through this program will help children of Tamilnadu," said Kamal. Kamal launched the sale of tickets. Malayalam Manorama publications handed a cheque to Kamal for Rs.25 lakhs for heart surgery for children.
Speaking about 'Dasavataram,' Kamal said, "The producer has conveyed to me, his decision to release the film in April. In the audio release function in March, Jackie Chan will definitely participate."
